MY WHY
“The danger of adventure is worth a thousand days of ease and comfort.”
― Paulo Coelho
Let's face it, we're lost...
Our society doesn't have any intiation, and now we have a bunch of men running around, or trying to run the world, still operating on boy pyschology. The faux "Alpha's" and the "Mr. Nice Guy's" (with the latter more dangerous than the former). Humans as a whole are on a path with no real direction, on a path of self-destruction.
We have few real Kings, few real Warriors, few real Magicians, and few real Lovers to look up to in modern times. We have too many tyrants/weakling princes, too many sadists/masochists, too many manipulators/denialists, and too many addicted/impotent lovers. Of course no one's perfect, we all have all of these archetypes within us, both the mature and the shadows. We just need more men to rise to the occasion, and start embodying the mature masculine archetypes.
"We just need more men to rise to the occasion, and start embodying the mature masculine archetypes."
That's why I'm helping men return to source of what it is to be real men, real humans again, because we need more mature masculine leaders to set humanity's course straight. Through physical competence and mental resilience training, and by taking us back to our roots to receive the nourishments we need to grow, we will cultivate confidence, clarity, and strength. Living more in alignment with what has allowed us, as homo sapiens, to survive for hundreds of thousands of years, is now a way for us to thrive.
We've become too comfortable. For the majority of our time here on Earth, we’ve had to either run down our meat sources to exhaustion, or sprint away from becoming another animal’s meat source. We had to climb trees for honey, to escape danger, or get a better view. We had to get down to ground level to forage, remain undetected, or stalk prey. We had to walk, crawl, balance, run, jump, climb, lift, carry, throw, catch, and swim for ALL of our resources. And we had to fight for our lives, literally. So naturally, we moved to live, and lived to move. This is why we say, "Movement is Life!"
Today, we can move a few fingers on a high-tech "rock" and have food delivered straight to our temperature-controlled, artificially-lit "cave". We outsourced our hunting & gathering to grocery stores, our lives to television, and our tribes to social media. We’ve made big & comfy chairs, thick & stiff shoes, hard & flat floors, and wonder why we have poor posture, frequent injuries, and back pain. We’ve built right angles everywhere, no wonder we can’t think outside of the box.
“We’ve built right angles everywhere, no wonder why we can’t think outside of the box.”
We see this, and attempt to mitigate the damage of poor lifestyle choices through “fitnessing” - lifting things up and putting them down, trudging endlessly on rat wheels, and exercising to, “Feel the burn!” Basically muscle isolation, chronic cardio, and meaningless movement. Modern fitness has people forging strong links next to weak ones. Burning themselves out through over-use and under-recovery. Not too long after you'll hear these same people say they have “bad hips,” “bad knees,” and “bad backs”. They’re not “bad”, your body will always respond exactly as it should to the given stimuli. Want a different result? Change the stimulus.
And to lose weight (i.e. reclaim your ideal body composition), the mainstream "experts" will tell you to, 'Portion control, take ALL the supplements, and count those calories! If that doesn’t work try this magic pill, or get this surgery (that costs more than a years worth of quality meat), that should do the trick...' Never mind just eating real food. Where's the common sense? Our ancestors are probably rolling over in their dirt piles. Why must we over-complicate everything? What ever happened to keeping it simple, stupid superhero?
I know, simple isn’t always easy. Especially in modern times with modern conveniences. It’s not our fault, but IT IS our responsiblity. We’re doing exactly what we’re wired to do, just not in the environment that we’ve evolved to do it in. There’s a difference between climbing a 60-foot tree or walking miles for a bit of honey to share with the tribe and the bird that led you there, and walking a couple steps from the couch and downing 10x the amount of sugar diluted in water — or worse — not even getting up from the chair while driving up to a window for "liquid energy” to chug on the commute to work every day.
“We’re doing exactly what we’re wired to do, just not in the environment that we’ve evolved to do it in.”
Clearly, our modern way of living is an evolutionary mismatch wreaking havoc on our health. We are not meant to be sick, weak, and disconnected. That’s the result of a life unaligned. A life deficient of the kinetic, edible, social, biophilic, and experiential nourishments that we require. We need to remember who we are, where we’re from, and why we’re here.
We're men. We're Kings, Warriors, Magicians, and Lovers. We come from our Mothers, and we will return to the Mother, so we better respect the Mother. We're here to lead, to provide, to fight, to protect, to learn, to transform, and to give & receive love. That's why I'm helping people kick ass, overcome obstacles, and be water.
